The land of Uz,  (Hebrew, prounounce oot) was named after Uz the son of Aram, grandson of Shem who was Noah's son.  Uz is mentioned in Job 1:1, Jerimiah 25:20 and Lamentations 4:1.  In considering that Aram settled in this Region (Genesis 36:20, 21) and that JOB, being one of the most well known to live here.  Job's family was attacked by Sabeans (Job 1:15) and Chaldeans (Jobe 1:17) then his not so wise comforters were a Temonite, Shushite and Naamathite.  Here are some LINKS:
