Our Mission is to provide an atmosphere that is neutral in doctrine where all can come for fellowship, discipleship, entertainment and renewal.  We strive to provide a wide variety of excellent Christian music for all to enjoy.  The setting is such that we encourage you to share around the table, to have an opportunity to bring a friend, or to invite your bible study /small group to stop in.

   My heart as a pastor is to see the body of Christ renewed and revitalized.  Many times we get busy, settle in our churches, and miss out on the activities around us. It is time for the body of Christ to join together.  It is the hope that this can be a respite place for all to stop in.

We hope that each person may experience a great awakening in their heart!

Our Purpose and Philosophy

    We desire to create an environment that is pleasing to the Lord.   

At Great Awakenings Coffeehouse we want:

    *  Our SURROUNDINGS to be in a setting that is open and inviting for the Holy Spirit to minister to us.

    *  Our SPEECH to exemplify the heart of God.

    *  Our SPIRIT to be in one accord with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

    We seek to do this as we Thrive with God and Strive with man.

SETTING:        Atmosphere of the Surrounding

    As the Salvation Army set about to minister by first taking care of the physical and then helping with the soul and spirit we also want to be mindful of the physical surroundings that we find ourselves in.

    At Great Awakenings Ministries we want to have a setting that has an atmosphere that is pleasing to God.

    The Surroundings will be:

                    * RELAXING

                    * CLEAN and

                    * SAFE

                        A place for members of the body of Christ to Thrive in and around.

    When you come to Great Awakenings Coffeehouse it is in a place that is set aside for the Holy Spirit to minister to you and for you to fellowship or minister to each other.

SPEECH:        Atmosphere of the Heart

    At Great Awakenings Ministries we want to have SPEECH that is

                    * Glorifying to God and

                    * Comes from an overflow of the heart set on fire by the spirit. 

                      (Matthew 15:18, Luke 6:43-45, Romans 10:9&10)

    Our prayer and desire is that the WORDS that are spoken might come from an ATMOSPHERE OF THE HEART that has been:

                    * Awakened by the Spirit of God

                     * Aroused to do His Will and

                    * Alive in His Word

    Realizing that the soil of the heart needs to be fertile by:

                    * Spending time with God in prayer and in the Word (Bible) that we might THRIVE and

                    * Spending time with fellow believers that we might STRIVE to do His will.

SPIRIT:           Atmosphere of Communion

    At Great Awakenings Ministry we want the Holy Spirit to be free to minister to the hearts of people (Romans 8:16, IJohn 2:27), to each persons spirit.  We will strive to do this with an Atmosphere of Communion with:

                    * Our fellow brothers and sisters by weeping with those who weep and laughing with those who laugh

                    * The anointing of the Spirit ( the presence of God) in our hearts - Communion with God.
